Even though I am good at the game, in my opinion COD: Black ops 3 isnt as good as its last game, COD: Black Ops 2. The game is based around a more futuristic setting, like other call of duty games in recent years. Where players must adapt to the new style of play in order to keep their gun skill in tact. Theres a new feature in Black Ops 3 called thrusting. Where players have the ability to do things such as double jump and fly in the air for a short duration, wall run, and slide boost. This gives certains players much bigger advantages in gun fights if they use it often to their avantage. Many players feel like this feature shouldn’t have been added into the game. The maps on black ops 3 are balanced in size, but many of them are cluttered with objects, and that comes into play when using the thrust ability. These new movements are overpowered in my opinion and I, like many other players hate them. Its insane how you could shoot a guy first thinking your at an advantage during a gun fight, and they could just thrust into the air to juke your bullets, giving them the advantage, since they are in the air.
The guns are very balanced as far as being overpowered/underpowered. And This year players get to customize their online characters called specialist. Theres 10 specialist, and each one has a unique ability and weapon to give the palyer a big advantage during gun fights when used properly. I Don’t think these specialists are necessary with the new movements giving players a better advantage in their gun fights, and most of the specialist abilities are overpowered. Also, players instead of buying dlc items such as camos for their guns, earn them in supply drops. But unlike advanced warfare, this year players earn “cryptokeys” where when you have earned a certain amount, allow you to buy supply drops from the blackmarket. This is a con to players, because the amount of keys needed for a supply drop compared to the amount you earn per game is completely unbalanced. And even though supply drops can also be bought with cod points (can be bought via the xbox/playstation store), they aren’t worth your money.
This game is a fairly fun, but unsatisfying game to play.
